Biography
. He received his B.Sc. in chemistry in 1987 from Ferdowsi University, Mashhad, Iran. Then he moved to Shiraz University where he received his M. Sc. (1990) and Ph.D. (1995) in organic chemistry. He started his academic work at Razi University, Kermanshah as an assistant professor (1995). After five years he moved to ShahidBeheshti University as an associate professor. Since 2005 he works as a professor in the Department of Phytochemistry. He has published more than 160 papers in peer reviewed international journals (h-index=39, Scopus). He has received many awards including distinguished researcher of Iran (2004 and 2008); Tetrahedron Letters Most Cited Paper 2003-2006 Award, Elsevier Ltd; Tetrahedron Letters Most Cited Paper 2005-2008 Award, Elsevier Ltd; distinguished organic chemist of Iran (2012), and Khwarizmi International Award (2015). He has been introduced in the list of 1% most cited scientists of the world since 2008 (Thomson-Reuters Co., ISI Web of Knowledge).
